52 Weekends No.22 – Sugar Hand Scrub

I love the weekends – guilt free relaxing, lazy breakfasts, lots of coffee, reading books, hanging out and watching movies with the family. I find weekends especially lovely at this time of year – sunny and warm inside, cold and crisp outside, however this weather is playing havoc with my skin so this weekend I decided to make a lovely sugar scrub to give my poor dry hands a pamper.

It’s super easy – I used equal amounts of sugar and coconut oil (but you can use less sugar if you prefer the texture less abrasive) and two drops of pure lavender oil. The sugar is a great natural exfoliator, the coconut oil is the perfect moisturiser for dry hands and the lavender oil calming – the aroma when mixed together is sweet heaven! I found this cute little jar in The Range for £1.29 which is perfect for storing this scrub and has a handy little wooden spoon for scooping it out… also this would make a lovely handmade gift especially with Mother’s Day approaching!
