Enjoyed a relaxing day off by hanging out with my Mum at the beach collecting beach treasures and snapping beach huts! I love shells and drift wood. I was collecting for fun but they are also useful props in the backgrounds of my seafood shots. They also shoot beautifully just as they are.
Here’s a little project I’ve been working on, on the side.. an Antler headdress.
I made the antlers from craft wire that I already had floating around in my art box and then wrapped them in tin foil (whilst watching the movie The Worst Witch). Then I papier mache’d them… once dried I stuck them to a cheap headband that I bought in Primark for a pound, using a hot glue gun. Then added lots of silk flowers that I’ve been collecting from various places, including a recent flower shoot. I love how well it turned out.
Chef and I larking about in front of the camera for once… happy Friday!
I went a little crazy whilst late night shopping last night and came home with three cardigans, two dresses and a pair of PJs. So far this year I’m averaging two new dresses a month, which reminds me of my new years resolution two years ago which was to buy a dress every month, only now it’s two per month… oops.
Here’s one of them, accessories with my pearl collar, bronze belt and one of my new cardigans 😀
It’s not only non food Friday but it’s also the run up to Christmas and I’ve given in to the Christmas cheer and put my tree up… well my Christmas branch.
I found this branch about four years ago in the work carpark, painted it white and have used it for my tree ever since… I love it. I bought the tear drop baubles in Asda and the cameo ones from Frost garden centre. This year I also utilised a broken string of pearls to add even more glamour. Merry Christmas.
It’s Non Food Friday…that means it’s time to share something non food related with you. So check out my new Lavender locks!
I found this wonderful dress in a charity shop at the weekend… there were no two ways about it I had to have it! And it was an absolute bargain priced at £4. Can’t wait to wear it!
For this weeks ‘Non Food Friday’ I thought I’d share a couple of pic from a gig my boyfriend took me too this week… Savages. I love this band so much and it was so cool to see them live at The Forum in Kentish Town.
Look at my lovely new phone cover by Hello Deere as part of the Diffle Cat Series… oh so cute… Ellie Cat likes it too!
This weeks Non Food Friday is all about Christmas, I found myself in the local garden centre this week and Christmas is already in there. Looking at all the beautiful Xmas decorations, made me realise that Christmas really isn’t that far away, 11 weeks I think!! I’m loving the mint green and aqua colours of the decorations, surprisingly I only came away with a little wooden tea light holder.
