There’s a massive trend for Bundt cakes in food photography at the moment, no great surprise there as they are so beautiful and look stunning in photos. So I thought I’d share with you my Bundt cake (that I made !!) for a recent photoshoot.
Surprisingly easy to make, I topped it with poached pears and a salted caramel sauce (that I also made!). Not bad for a first attempt!

This week I begin one of my most exciting projects… I’m shooting a craft book where the products are all based on Wonderland! I almost burst with excitement when I was contacted to shoot this book as I’ve been a huge lover of all things Alice since I was a little girl.
So I’ve been rummaging around my house gathering props for the project, some of them I’ve had since I was small… I love putting in personal items that mean so much to me into my work!! Cannot wait to start shoot this book!
I had the pleasure of shooting a wonderful food festival this month for a client of mine, lots of great and interesting food trucks and stalls. My favourites to shoot were the ‘Slow and Low’ classic French van, ‘The Cheese Wagon’ and the very colourful and kitsch ‘Waffle Bike’.
A wonderful day but I was too busy taking photos that I didn’t really stop to eat… next time!!
Show off this Easter with a showstopper cake just like this one… Semi nude cake with dripped chocolate icing and a noodle nest topper filled with lots of yummy mini eggs!
Hot Cross Buns are traditionally eaten on Good Friday… who am I to disrespect traditions!
Need to find something to entertain kids during the Easter holidays? Making little nests out of melted chocolate and shredded wheat is so easy and can keep kids entertained for hours, but be warned.. it does get messy!
Shot on a Canon 5D mark ii, 105mm macro Sigma lens. Studio lit using just one light and a bounce board. Propped with a pale pink plate from Ikea £1.30, nests filled with mini eggs and real blossom. Image available for purchase from www.stockfood.com
UK Coffee Week 2017 starts today and runs until the 16th April. It’s a celebration of coffee but also raises funds for coffee growing communities.
I love coffee first thing in the morning… drinking one now as I write this post 😀
Look at these beautiful pistachio and rose petal biscuits… perfect with a nice cup of tea for Mum on Mother’s Day!
Waffles are so yummy they have two days to celebrate them! Today is the original day started in Sweden (the other is later in the year and was started in the US).
Here’s a couple of ideas of how to eat them for breakfast… check out my Instagram for my dessert Waffle inspiration https://www.instagram.com/stacygrant_photography/
