Bundt Cake

There’s a massive trend for Bundt cakes in food photography at the moment, no great surprise there as they are so beautiful and look stunning in photos.  So I thought I’d share with you my Bundt cake (that I made !!) for a recent photoshoot.

Surprisingly easy to make, I topped it with poached pears and a salted caramel sauce (that I also made!). Not bad for a first attempt!

Adventures in Wonderland

This week I begin one of my most exciting projects… I’m shooting a craft book where the products are all based on Wonderland! I almost burst with excitement when I was contacted to shoot this book as I’ve been a huge lover of all things Alice since I was a little girl.

So I’ve been rummaging around my house gathering props for the project, some of them I’ve had since I was small… I love putting in personal items that mean so much to me into my work!! Cannot wait to start shoot this book!

Food Festival

I had the pleasure of shooting a wonderful food festival this month for a client of mine, lots of great and interesting food trucks and stalls. My favourites to shoot were the ‘Slow and Low’ classic French van, ‘The Cheese Wagon’ and the very colourful and kitsch ‘Waffle Bike’.

A wonderful day but I was too busy taking photos that I didn’t really stop to eat… next time!!

Easter Holiday Activities

Need to find something to entertain kids during the Easter holidays? Making little nests out of melted chocolate and shredded wheat is so easy and can keep kids entertained for hours, but be warned.. it does get messy!

Salt Awareness Week

This week is National Salt Awareness Week.

I’m looking at the benefits of Pink Himalayan Salt which packs over 80 minerals and elements and has following health benefits; Increases hydration, Balance pH (alkaline/acidity) and help to reduce acid reflux, prevent muscle cramping, strengthen bones, help absorb nutrients, improve circulation, reduce the signs of ageing and detoxify the body from heavy metals.
