Need to find something to entertain kids during the Easter holidays? Making little nests out of melted chocolate and shredded wheat is so easy and can keep kids entertained for hours, but be warned.. it does get messy!
Shot on a Canon 5D mark ii, 105mm macro Sigma lens. Studio lit using just one light and a bounce board. Propped with a pale pink plate from Ikea £1.30, nests filled with mini eggs and real blossom. Image available for purchase from www.stockfood.com
UK Coffee Week 2017 starts today and runs until the 16th April. It’s a celebration of coffee but also raises funds for coffee growing communities.
I love coffee first thing in the morning… drinking one now as I write this post 😀
Look at these beautiful pistachio and rose petal biscuits… perfect with a nice cup of tea for Mum on Mother’s Day!
Waffles are so yummy they have two days to celebrate them! Today is the original day started in Sweden (the other is later in the year and was started in the US).

This week is National Salt Awareness Week.
I’m looking at the benefits of Pink Himalayan Salt which packs over 80 minerals and elements and has following health benefits; Increases hydration, Balance pH (alkaline/acidity) and help to reduce acid reflux, prevent muscle cramping, strengthen bones, help absorb nutrients, improve circulation, reduce the signs of ageing and detoxify the body from heavy metals.
Recently I was asked to come up with a range of ‘Lunch in a Jar’ images. I had noticed the trend on Pinterest and in the usual foodie magazines but hadn’t got around to shooting any so I was thrilled to get the opportunity to do a ‘Lunch in a Jar’ photoshoot! I ended up with about eight different jar options… these are my favourites from the three day shoot.
Embracing Pantone colour of the year 2017 and bringing it into my food photography.
It’s back… hands in food photography is back and it’s evolved. The trend for presenting food with cupped hands went out a while back and for a while hands were so not in fashion… but hands in the frame are in and they have painted nails.
Check out my beautiful new stone surface… can not wait to start shooting on this!
